GENERAL

  • What is Edelman’s Digital Bootcamp?
    • Edelman’s Digital Bootcamp is a one-day seminar aimed at educating public relations students about the many uses of social media tools. Experienced professionals from Edelman will be attending the seminar to lead sessions, network with students and promote the use of social media in the practice of public relations campaigns.
  • What is the purpose of the Digital Bootcamps?
    • To give students the opportunity to work with real-world professionals in implementing social media tools while at the same time, learning important uses for these tools as they enter the career field.
  • Who should attend?
    • Current college students with a background in public relations who are interested in getting a step ahead in the increasingly important area of social media.
  • When is it?
    • Saturday, March 1, 2008
  • Where is the bootcamp located?
    • The University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.

REGISTRATION

  • How do I register online?
    • Click here or on the “Register Now” link on the tool bar to be directed to the event’s registration form.
  • Can I mail in a registration?
    • Due to the limited number of spaces, registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, registration is only accepted online.

    • There are rooms blocked off at the Holiday Inn on Broad St. The code for the blocks is EDE.

  • Where can I get airport transportation information?
    • There is an airport shuttle to and from the Holiday Inn for $40 each way.

PRICING

  • How much does the conference cost?
    • Cost for students is $25, the cost for educators is $40.
  • What does the price include?
    • The price includes admission to the event, a light breakfast and lunch as well as afternoon snack and reception following event.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • What is the dress code of the conference?
    • Dress for the seminar is business casual. Dress for the reception is slightly more casual.
