Although we know that you’re coming to the Athens for some fantastic social media fun, there are a few other things going on in Athens you might want to check out.

Friday Night:

Those of us on the EDB team would love to meet you before our early start on Saturday.

We are getting together for an informal meet and great at Mellow Mushroom, downtown around 8 p.m. It is completely casual and all about getting to know new people and dig into a pie.

If you’re a late owl, although with an 8 a.m. registration time I wouldn’t recommend it, there are some great shows on Friday night.

Saturday

Lets face it we’ve pretty much got you covered but if you’re looking for great places to grab a bite to eat before our reception, check out Katherine Strate’s Dawgfood blog for the best of Athens.

Our top suggestions:

• The Grill – Diner food open 24 hours is an Athens Institution
• Transmetropolitan – Best piazza in town (although there is lots of great competition)
• Doc Chey’s – Chinese -Thai fusion, fresh and fab
• Cookies and Co – I never leave with less than 6 cookies
• Utage – Great Sushi and fun style
